Jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic brings Shoreline Jazz Festival preview concert to The Block

Thursday, Aug. 24, Jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic brings a group of jazz musicians to join him for a concert at The Block in downtown Muskegon, one day prior to the start of the fourth annual Shoreline Jazz Festival.

Alexander Zonjic is a gifted jazz flutist, known across the country for his cool jazz grooves and exciting shows. He has shared the stage with such greats as Kenny G, Bob James, Matsui and Jeff Lorber. In addition to performing hundreds of concerts a year, he is the creative director for numerous summer music festivals, including the Shoreline Jazz Festival.

Zonjic will be joined by Jeff Lorber on Keyboards, James Simonson on Bass, Kris Kurzawa on Guitar and Jeff Canady on Drums. The Thursday evening concert, dubbed “Alexander Zonjic and Friends” will give audience members a chance to enjoy the smooth jazz music that will be played at Muskegon’s 2017 Shoreline Jazz Festival in a more intimate, up-close setting. The festival runs Aug. 25-27 at Heritage Landing in Muskegon.

This preview concert is Thursday evening Aug. 24 and begins at 7:30 p.m. doors and cash bar open at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $25, $10 for students with ID.
