Beatboxing String Trio comes to The Block April 29

Muskegon, Michigan, April 14 – The Infinitus String Trio will present a jazz fusion concert at The Block, West Michigan Symphony’s alternative performance venue, Friday evening, April 29.

Infinitus is a critically acclaimed beatboxing string trio known for their unique sound and upbeat performance style. With a repertoire featuring classical standards and original jazz/hip-hop arrangements and compositions, Infinitus is quickly becoming one of North America’s premiere chamber performance groups. Infinitus has been featured on CBC, National Public Radio, Canada’s OMNI Television and in numerous publications.

Infinitus was formed in 2008 by violist Anthony Cheung, cellist Alex Cheung and violinist John “Adidam” Littlejohn. Collectively, the members hold degrees from the University of Michigan and the Peabody Conservatory and have won awards at the local, national and international level. They have performed extensively throughout North America presenting community performances, soloing with orchestras and conducting masterclasses, workshops and seminars. Infinitus is dedicated to quality outreach. To date they have performed over 1,000 outreach performances in schools, nursing homes, juvenile detention centers and hospitals.

Currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the group performs regularly as part of the Vancouver Chamber Players Concert Series. Members of Infinitus hold faculty positions at the Thrive City String Boot Camp, the Saint James Music Academy and the Vancouver Academy of Music.
