The Thoreau Piano Trio at the Block

As a prelude to the White Lake Chamber Music Festival, the Thoreau Piano Trio will present two extraordinary, intense, and impassioned masterworks of the chamber music repertoire: Beethoven Op.1 No.3 and Shostakovich Op. 67 on July 30 at 8 pm at The Block. Doors open at 7pm for libation and banter beforehand.

Experience the haunting melodies, vibrant energies and poignant expression of these great composers as performed by The Thoreau Piano Trio.

The members of the Thoreau Piano Trio: violinist Susan Jensen, cellist Darry Dolezal and pianist Paul Jacobs, bring together a world of musical experiences. These include performances in major American cities, in Europe, Asia, and South America, in concert halls and recording studios, for live radio and television broadcasts and on major motion picture film scores.

The Thoreau Piano Trio was formed in 2011 at the Warebrook Contemporary Music Festival in Vermont. It is hailed for creating adventurous and innovative programs, connecting diverse art forms, and collaborating with living composers and visual artists. Their sense of adventure and love for all types of music is the impetus for their exciting, compelling, and transcendent performances in styles ranging from classical to avant-garde.
