Bring your own lunch and enjoy an hour of lively discussion with Music Director Scott Speck and a special guest appearance by a WMS musician, about the upcoming concert Viva Italia! Those who have tickets to attend the associated masterworks concert on Friday, February 5 will get a primer to the works that will be presented and for those who don’t, tickets will be available to purchase!
The lunchtime discussion will cover:
• Rossini’s Overture to The Italian Girl in Algiers
• Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, Op 64
• Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony
• Plus a question and answer period about the West Michigan Symphony and the Feb. 5 repertoire.
Doors open at 11:30 am to give you time to mingle and take your seats.
Food available for purchase at area restaurants such as Subway (next door) and Rebel Pies (downstairs in the back of Unruly Brewing).
