West Michigan Symphony Presents a brown bag lunch and conversation about Masterworks.4: Classical Music for Everyone: Romantic Nationalism. Bring your own lunch and enjoy an hour of lively discussion with Music Director Scott Speck and Alexey Stadler, cello.

Those who have tickets to attend the associated West Michigan Symphony masterworks concert on Friday, March 2. will get a primer to the works that will be presented and for those who don’t, tickets will be available to purchase.

Samples of the repertoire will be played and discussed, including:
• Sibelius: Finlandia
• De Falla: Miller’s Dance
• Ravel: Pavane for a Dead Princess
• Gliere: Russian Sailors’ Dance
• Copland: Hoe Down
• Dvorak: Cello Concerto in B minor

This is a free event. Doors open at 11:45 am to give you time to mingle and take your seats.

Coffee and water provided. Food available for purchase at area restaurants such as Subway (next door) and Rebel Pies (downstairs in the back of Unruly Brewing).
