Doors and bar open at 6:30 pm
The development of the horn as a modern orchestral instrument is both a fascinating story in its own right and provides a useful window into the history of music over the last few centuries. The horn section of the WMS, Leah Brockman, Lisa Honeycutt, Gregg Bassett and Paul Clifton, explore the tremendous variety of horn sounds and ways that technological innovations changed the history of music. The audience will even get the opportunity to participate on horns made from garden hoses!
With guests: Allen French, horn, and Kelly Karamanov, piano.
